Show up. Then show up again.

Build a practice that fits your actual week.

It's tempting to build your routine around your most motivated self. That person has spare time, perfect sleep, and an empty calendar. Most days, someone else has to do the work.

A lasting practice needs room for the person you are on an ordinary Tuesday. Start with a commitment that fits your actual week, not an imaginary one.

Make a promise you can keep.

Set aside a regular window for movement you enjoy and can do comfortably. It might be a walk, time at the gym, or practicing a familiar skill. The point is to create a place for it in your life before you make the plan more ambitious.

Put your shoes where you can see them. Pack ahead. Reduce the little decisions that make getting started feel larger than it is.

Keep score honestly.

Write down what you did and how it felt. An ordinary session still counts. So does noticing when you need rest. A useful practice teaches you to pay attention, not to ignore your limits.

If you miss a day, don't turn the gap into a verdict on your character. Return to the next reasonable opportunity. Progress is a pattern you build over time, with room for life in between.
